| Vaughen signed for Glynneath in 1979-80 and continued to play for the club until the mid nineties where many believed that he should have continued to play. Captained the first team for four seasons he also served as club secretary for some years. Known best as a full back but Vaughen could also play an accomplished sweeper with pace and anticipation.
