  • We can only assume as the same club but Seven Sisters played in the Swansea League from 1909-10. Although founder members to the Neath League I don't know if the club always offered continuity until they joined the Welsh League in 1946-47.
  • They were relegated from the Welsh League in 1995-96 but directly won promotion having won the Premiereship in the Neath League for 1997-98.

  • For 'Skewen' that could read 'Skewen Athletic' but due to printing in the local press I've listed as a different team. From such records I have Skewen in the Swansea league from 1905-06. Skewen continued to play in the Swansea league throughout the Twenties and Thirties. Again, we have Skewen playing in the Neath league up until 1957 but due to print I'm not sure if connected to Skewen Athletic.
  • Skewen Athletic appeared in the Welsh league from 1932-33 and also appeared in the Neath league until they become combined with Neath F.C. to become Neath Athletic.
  • See Skewen Athletic.

  • From Neath Athletic the club won the Neath Section of the Swansea League in 1921-22 and again in 1922-23 where they were also Intermediate Cup finalists. We can first trace the club entering the Welsh League for just one season - 1949-50.
  • However, at this point see Garthmoor for further details.
  • The name of Neath Athletic continued in the Welsh League until they combined with Skewen Athletic in 1970-71 after moving to the Skewen Stadium in the late 1960s.
  • The club then combined with Neath F.C. in 2004-05 and became Neath Athletic.
  • If you're still following, then as I understand, initially Neath Athletic & Skewen Athletic were two different clubs. When Garthmoor entered the Welsh league they assumed the name of Neath Athletic until they combined under the name of Skewen Athletic. Meanwhile, National Oil Refineries changed to B.P. Llandarcy until they became Neath F.C. and later merged with Skewen Athletic to become Neath Athletic.
  • For further details see Neath Athletic.

  • The club had been playing non-league football until becoming a founder member of the Neath league. However, after eight straight defeats they resigned from the league in February to enter the D.B. Rees cup as a non-league club. After they again resigned from the league in 1935-36 I can only assume the club then disbanded.
